Palladium(II) acetate
CAS 3375-31-3
Palladium(II) acetate is the most widely used soluble Pd(II) source in organic synthesis — the default precursor for in-situ catalyst generation with phosphine and NHC ligands, and a catalyst in its own right for Heck and C–H functionalization chemistry.

Where Pd(OAc)₂ is used
In-situ catalyst generation
Combined with ligands such as SPhos, XPhos, PPh₃ or NHC salts, Pd(OAc)₂ generates active Pd(0) species directly in the reaction vessel — the most flexible and economical entry point to Suzuki, Heck, Sonogashira and Buchwald–Hartwig chemistry at scale.
Heck coupling and C–H activation
A ligand-free catalyst for Mizoroki–Heck arylation of olefins, and the standard Pd(II) source in directed C–H functionalization methodology used across medicinal and process chemistry.
Precursor to supported and engineered catalysts
Its clean thermal decomposition and solubility in organic solvents make it a preferred precursor for preparing Pd/C, Pd films, and Pd nanoparticle catalysts with controlled dispersion.

Frequently asked questions
Do you supply the nitrite-free grade?
Yes. Lots are available with nitrite content controlled below detection, which matters for reproducibility in C–H activation and low-loading couplings. State the grade required when requesting a quote.
How is pricing linked to the palladium market?
Each quote references the day's Pd fixing plus a conversion charge on the contained metal (~47.4%). For recurring volumes we can fix the metal leg forward against your production schedule.
Can spent Pd residues from our process be returned?
Yes — filter cakes, mother liquors and spent catalyst can be assayed and the recovered palladium credited to your account, closing the loop on your Pd inventory.
What is the minimum order quantity?
We quote from 5 g for evaluation through multi-kilogram production quantities. Evaluation samples ship by courier with COA and SDS.
