Where IrCl₃·xH₂O is used
Aqueous iridium chemistry
Dissolves readily for complex synthesis, supported-catalyst impregnation and electrode coating solutions — the default IrCl₃ form wherever water or alcohol systems are used.
OLED intermediate synthesis
The common starting material for chloro-bridged cyclometalated dimers en route to phosphorescent iridium emitters.

Frequently asked questions
How is pricing structured?
Iridium is among the scarcest PGMs with sharply moving prices, so the metal leg is quoted against the day's Ir price on assayed content and locked at order confirmation; conversion is a stated fabrication charge.
What documentation is included?
Every lot ships with a certificate of analysis stating assayed metal content, plus an English SDS. ICP trace-metal panels are available on request.
Do you take back iridium residues?
Yes — at iridium's price level recovery is almost always worthwhile. Residues, spent coatings and off-spec lots are assayed on receipt and the iridium credited against future supply.
